What is HAbitat?
Habitat is like an animal's home. It has four parts:
Food
Water
Food is important because all animals need it to survive. Acorn woodpeckers eat acorns from oak trees and bugs.
Water keeps us healthy, and animals too. There is a river in the forest, but we have to water in the garden.
Shelter
Space
My house is my shelter. Animals' shelter can be burrows, nests or rock piles!
Animals need space to move and find food and water. The forest has A LOT of space.
